I'm not just a coach. I'm a resale store owner who's lived everything I teach.

I'm Neil Abramson โ€” and I've spent over thirty years in the trenches of retail. Before founding my resale stores and coaching business, I worked as a business consultant to traditional retailers โ€” from small mom-and-pop shops to companies doing $50 million and beyond. I know what works at every scale, what grows a business, and what buries an owner in their store.

As the owner of ECi Stores, a family of resale and consignment shops serving Massachusetts communities for nearly thirty years, I've lived the same reality you face every day โ€” managing team, moving inventory, building loyalty, watching the numbers. I haven't just studied these challenges. I've solved them, repeatedly, in real stores.

I've coached resale and consignment entrepreneurs across the country, appeared on QVC and HSN during their Small Business Spotlight series, been quoted in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Boston Globe, and more โ€” and in 2024, the National Retail Federation named me "America's Retail Champion." I also currently serve on the Board of the Retail Association of Massachusetts (RAM), advocating for independent retailers across the state.

But credentials are just context. Here's what actually matters:

"When you cut away everything else โ€” I want to help people build a business that serves their lives and their dreams. Too often, they forget all about that because they're buried in the day-to-day and don't see a way out."

โ€” Neil Abramson

I'm the guy with the pink calculator. Numbers don't lie, and I'm not afraid to look at them with you. But the numbers are just a tool โ€” the real goal is always the same: help you build a business that functions for you, not one that only runs because of you.

When we work together, I bring thirty years of real-world resale experience to every conversation. No generic advice. No templates designed for a restaurant or a retail chain. Just specific, honest coaching built entirely around the resale and consignment world โ€” and around your store in particular.

The Philosophy

Mindset. Method. Mastery.

Three words. One framework. The reason stores that work with me look different a year later.

๐Ÿง

Mindset

Everything starts in your head. We shift you from reactive operator to intentional owner. A store owner who thinks like a CEO makes different โ€” and better โ€” decisions. The whole business changes when you do.

โš™๏ธ

Method

Mindset without method is just motivation. We build real, practical systems โ€” inventory flow, team accountability, pricing strategy, customer loyalty, financial tracking. This is where the pink calculator comes out.

Mastery

Mastery is when the right moves become instinct, your team runs, and your store is serving your life the way you always imagined. You've reached a new level โ€” and I'm still here when new challenges arise or it's time to sharpen the saw again. That's the real goal.

Real Experience. Not Theory.

I coach from the trenches โ€” not the sidelines.

Before resale, I spent years as a business consultant to traditional retailers โ€” from small independents to companies doing over $50 million. I know what works at every scale. As the owner of ECi Stores, I've also lived the same challenges you face daily. I serve on the Board of the Retail Association of Massachusetts (RAM) and have been featured on QVC, HSN, Fox Business, NBC News, and in major national publications.

When we talk about your team, your buying decisions, your customer experience, or your P&L โ€” I'm not working from a textbook. I'm working from over thirty years of real-world experience coaching businesses of every size and shape.
